Woodhurst Care Centre in Carluke are currently seeking a Deputy Manager/ RGN to join our team on a full time basis working 42 hours per week, paying £22 per hour

Woodhurst Care Centre is a charming former manse situated in a quiet, leafy area within walking distance of Carluke. Set in extensive grounds, the centre combines a historic property with modern facilities. The home has been sympathetically refurbished with purpose-built extensions added. Woodhurst specialises in a range of residential care for the elderly, from assistance with basic living tasks through to elderly nursing clients.

Responsibilities:
– Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a home care facility
– Provide direct care and support to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
– Administer medications to residents according to prescribed schedules and protocols
– Monitor and document residents’ health status and report any changes or concerns to the Manager
– Coordinate and communicate with healthcare professionals, families, and other staff members to ensure quality care for residents
– Assist in developing and implementing care plans for individual residents
– Supervise and train staff members in proper care techniques and protocols
– Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and policies

Requirements:

Nursing qualification and active PIN number
– Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a home care or healthcare setting
– Knowledge of medication administration procedures and protocols
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
– Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
– High level of professionalism and integrity
